A Bat-a-Thon is a softball fundraising event where participants collect pledges for each hit they make during the event. Players of the league solicit donations from family, friends, neighbors, and the greater community.
Players receive different prizes (e.g. T-Shirts, softball gear, gift cards, etc) tied to the amount of money the player raises. There will be prizes for the top fundraisers in every division, there will also be prizes for the top performers in the skills competitions for each division. All of the skills will be age appropriate and designed for fun and success.
The Bat-a-Thon is PWGSLL's primary fundraiser to raise the funds necessary to support the our league. Your support goes directly to equipment and other costs of running our league. In 2018 the league had a bat-a-thon, were enough funds were raised to get field lights for the Majors Field behind Tyler Elementary. With the money raised from this year's Bat-a-Thon the board plans to fund capital projects for the improvement of the league for all the players!
