Whether you are new to Little League umpiring or a long time veteran, there is always something new to learn or to improve upon. PWCGSLL has developed a comprehensive, fun and exciting training and education plan for the 2024 season.
Training session topics will include:
- Working The Plate: Topics such as positioning and demonstrations for calling balls and strikes, jurisdiction for catch, no-catch, fair and foul calls, pop ups behind home plate, pass balls, clearing the plate and more.
- Working The Bases: Topics such as demonstrating the set position and safe and out calls, angles and positioning for plays at first base, double play mechanics, steals, positioning for multiple runners and multiple plays on the bases and much more.
- Little League Rule Book: Detailed explanation of Little League baseball rules and demonstrations.
- Conflict Management
