We’re pleased to announce that PWC Girls Softball Little League (PWCGSLL) has opened registration for the “Fall 2020” season.

Among traditional team sports, softball is one of only a few sports that Governor Northam has deemed safe to play under the Phase Three reopening guidelines. With limited incidental contact, and some additional safety guidelines, softball is a safe and fun way for your daughter to get out of the house and enjoy a sport with friends and peers.
PWCGSLL will be following the CDC’s guidelines and Virginia’s reopening plans for youth sports.
There are several recommendations we will be following to keep your children safe.
1. Electronic self-health assessment will be required prior to any event, practice, and game.
2. Ten-foot social distancing will be followed as recommended by the Virginia “Return to Play” guidelines.
3. Face coverings are strongly recommended for all spectators.
4. Face coverings are strongly recommended for players and coaches, except when the players and coaches are in the field.
5. Dugouts will be used as a staging area and the bleachers will be utilized for players to allow for social distancing.
6. Coaches will be provided liquid spray hand sanitizer to use throughout all practices and games.
7. There will be no shared equipment.
8. No post game meetings will be permitted.
9. A “No Touch Rule” has been implemented. Players and coaches should refrain from handshakes or high fives.
10. There will be no post game handshake lines.
11. Spitting or eating seeds, gum, other similar products will not be allowed in the dugout or near the fields.
12. Dugouts and any common touchpoint will be disinfected before and after every activity using a hospital grade disinfectant.
13. Umpires will adhere to social distancing practices when interacting with players, coaches, and spectators.
